Spark Arena.

                                         Spark Arena Trip.

 Kia ora bloggers around the world🌍👈.  Yesterday only the year sixes went to the Spark Arena trip. I was really excited that all of the year sixes were going to this awesome trip. Early in the morning we had to get our things and had to get ready for the trip. So our teachers lined us all up we had to get in the bus. The person that I was sitting next was my friend Martin. Me and Martin were really happy and couldn't wait to go to the Spark Arena trip. After some time we arrived. When we arrived the place we went to was looking amazing and it even had the picture of Van Gogh the artist . They were also two other schools that came one was Royal heights the other was Lincoln St school.  We were  greeted by Susie Cato and Steve. They told us all about themselves and the three section and activities we were going to do. Susie Cato told us that the ball pit in the happy place is really deep. 

 

The first place that the year sixes went to was called the happy place. The happy place is a place were people are happy and they are having fun. I walked straight away when I heard about the happy place. The  place had a ball pit which was the best part , they had the up side down bed where your bed is upside and you had to scream in the photo. They even had the rubber duck wall and the disco wall which was pretty cool. First we went to the ball pit. When it was my turn I dived into the ball pit like I dive in the swimming pool. Susie was right the ball pit was really deep. We had to climb the stairs to get out from the ball pit. When I got out of the ball pit we took some photos. My favorite photo was when I was in the yellow tub with the rubber ducks. The happy place was really happy and exciting. I had lot's of fun with my friends. The place was making everyone happy. We even took a photo with the word happy. They were all sorts of happy things you could do in the happy place. There was a lot of funny things you could do. I really did not want to leave the happy place. But I knew I had to. We took a lot's of photos. There was even a huge cookie that you could take a photo with. When I saw the cookie I kind of got hungry. 

So my teacher (Ms Sands) and Steve said that we had to line up. The place that we went next was where you could try all the different instrument. It was really cool the people that have not played a electric drum they can play with the electric the people that have played the drums can also play them. You can even get a sticker. So far the trip was getting interesting. The cool 👍 thing about the sounds fun section was we can even make our own music that was the awesome part with our own lyrics. So we had to choose some singers to sing. So Peityn and Mahdi volunteered to sing. The funny thing about Mahdi was when he sang baby shark and pepper pig. Everyone started to laugh🤣 it was really funny when Mahdi sang baby shark. Then Peityn sang. After when Peityn sang the man said that we had to check the whole song then he said that we have created our own song. The music from the background was really cool. We asked if Ms Daly wants to sing but Ms Daly refused. So we sang Ms Daly Ms Daly sing! sing! sing! Ms Daly started to laugh and smile. Then the man said we have made another song. We listened to it and then said the same thing. We spent lots of time with the instruments. You can try any instrument you want to try. The trip was really educational. I was learning a lot of staff that I did not know before. I experienced a lot of things in Spark Arena. I wonder where we are going next.  But still I could not wait to go to the next section. When it was time to line up Steve told us that we had to go to Van Gogh he said to be quite enjoy the arts and enjoy the music.

                                                                                          

             For whose who do not know who Van Gogh is I can tell you. Van Gogh used to be an artist. He died because he shot himself in the chest with a revolver in 1890. I learned a lot of things about Van Gogh. Van Gogh even cut his ear. When we walked to the exhibition we had to be really quite we also had to listen to the music and look at the art work. We were looking at the digital version of the art work. We took some photos looked at the arts and looked at the big screen. Some of the art work looked real. Like the sun flower looked real. My teacher (Ms Sands) told us we might have to do some sun flower art. We looked at all kinds of arts. When we were looking at the huge screen there was a pixel art that I really liked. I was really enjoying looking at all the art work Van Gogh did. We looked at the digital screen for a long time. I was getting really hungry. My favorite place was the sounds fun section and the happy place what would your favorite place be if you ever go to Spark Arena? We lined up again and ate our lunch. Steve said after we eat our lunch we will be heading towards the bus and going back to school. I was really happy that we came to this trip and learned things. After eating lunch we all said goodbye and then headed back to school. When we were heading back to school I was thinking about all the instruments we used and I was thinking about Van Gogh.  I was also thinking about the happy place and the ball pit which was my favorite. Jonty and Choc (Class Novel)

Kia ora bloggers around the world 🌍. Today I will be blogging about the novel my teacher (Ms. Sands) read for teacher read. The novel is called Jonty and Choc. Written by Vince Ford. The novel was really funny. Jonty and Choc were like best friends . They had each other's backs. When the story started Jonty and Choc decided to prank their school principal. It was their last day of primary school. Jonty and Choc were worried that when they move to intermediate school will they still be friends Jonty and Choc thought. When they moved to intermediate school they had lot's of things that they could try out for. Choc joined the hip hop dance. Jonty had a different interest he tired out for the school play. There are many new kids as well Jonty and Choc make new friends. Jonty's new friend made fun of Choc. Choc's feelings got hurt so he spends more time with his new friend. Now Jonty doesn't even hang out with Choc. The thing in the story that I did not like was when Jonty's new friend was making fun of Choc. The other thing I notice in the story was that Jonty's mum treated Choc different from Kevin. When we finished the story. We did the two actives about Jonty and Choc. The first one we did was the Jonty and Choc response.  The other one was the close exercise were you had to fill in the missing words. Below is my Jonty and Choc response and the close exercise. Under the wires. (Anzac)

Kia ora bloggers around the world 🌍. Yesterday Wednesday 14th of April at school our teachers made us crawl under the wires. The teachers told us that all the students had 10 lives. The whole syndicate was filled wires everywhere. Our teachers told us that we had to crawl under the wires. The whole day! We did this because the soldiers in war  were hiding in the trenches and they had to crawl. So we had to pretend that we are in the trenches. Our teachers told us that we had to get our art book a ruler , pencil and a pen. So we got our art books then all the students had to crawl to their boxes to get a ruler , pencil and a pen. It was so fun and exciting crawling under the wires. I felt like a real soldier in a trench. We all found a spot around the room. We had to work under the wires and we had to lie our tummies and head down. So we don't touch the wires. Another thing that our teachers told us that when we are working the teachers will direct us with music so we don't get our work done. Our first activity was maths for math we had to do a basic facts test! We had to do all our work on paper not chrome books because when soldiers were in the trenches they did not use a devices. So we had to do a basic facts test under the wires. When our basic facts test started our teachers put on music to direct us. After doing the basic facts test. We did another sheet for maths called the NZ war of maths. We had to get a answer sheet. After doing the NZ war of maths sheet. We had fruit break. I really wanted to stand because we couldn't stand when we are under the wires. I thought that we had fruit break outside but all the students had to eat their fruit under the wires. After fruit break we had to do writing. For writing we had to write a letter to our family about under the wires what is happening. We did this because when the soldiers were at war they use to write letters to their family. After writing the letter. We went to morning tea and then swimming. 

When we came back from swimming we did another activity called picture diction. Where my teacher (Ms Sands) had to say something and then we had to draw, write the word or draw the symbol. We had to draw 12 boxes in our art book. After doing the picture diction. We had lunch we had to eat our lunch under the wires because it was wet outside. After lunch we had to pear up with someone. My buddy was Mahdi. The teachers told everyone that get a blindfold in your pear. They also said that someone from your pear had to put on the blindfold. First we had to find a ice block stick and we had to untie the string. So Mahdi wanted to put on the blindfold. I had to tell Mahdi were to go. After some time we had finished uniting the wire. After uniting he wires it was time to go home. We all packed up and got ready to go home. Below is the under the wires picture, picture diction and the letter.

Family Fun Day

                                              Family Fun Day

Today I will be blogging about family fun day. So last Friday we had the family fun day. There are four house groups. The house groups are Kea (Red) Ruru (Blue) Tui (Yellow) Pukeko (Green). My house group is kea which is red. For those who do not know what family fun day is I will be telling you what we do on family fun day. On family fun day there is no work at school. We can't wear our uniform on family fun day. You have to wear your house group t-shirt. The things we needed for family fun day were: sun block, water, lot's of lunch, togs and a change of cloths. You might be wondering why we need change of cloths. It's because there is this activity called the inflatable water slide. In the inflatable water slide you get so wet. So we can't wear our togs because we will need our togs for swimming and slip and slide. When the family fun started I could see all the different actives. The family fun day was the best day ever. I even got to eat my cookie. All the actives in the family fun day were so fun.
My favorite highlight in family fun day was spending time with my friends and I had so much fun going on the inflatable water slide. I couldn't wait to tell my family about the family fun day. We spent the whole day outside having fun. But the weather was really hot. Emergency kit.

Kia Ora bloggers around the world🌍. Today I am going to be blogging about an emergency kit. For those who do not know what an emergency kit is I will be telling you about the emergency kit. It's a kit for an emergency, for example, if I had to leave my house and I had to go to the top of a hill because of a tsunami. In an emergency kit you have to get the things that you will need. We have been learning about emergency kits at school because of earthquakes and tsunamis. So it is really important that you should get a emergency pack. You will need a lot of water and non perishable food to carry in your emergency kit. You might have heard in the news that there is a warning.  The warning was about no one should go to local pools or beaches. That's why I wrote a blog post about the emergency kit. Below is a list of the things you will need in your emergency kit.

* First Aid Kit.

* Medication (if needed)

* Radio 

* Phone (Phone's charger)

*Food (Non-Perishable)

* Lot's Of Water

*Water Proof Jacket

*Back Pack

*Fly Spray (Insect Repellent)

*Tarpaulin

* Umbrella

* Book (Pack Of Cards) (Travel Games) So you don't get board.

*Toilet Paper

* Sunscreen 

*Blankets.

*Torch/ Batteries for the torch.

*Wipes (If you have a baby)

Bonjour bloggers around the world🌍, this week (week 5) I did my experiment around sticky ice. The experiment was really interesting. You will get more information when you watch the video of my experiment that I did. The sticky ice experiment was so fun. The things that you need is: string , two ice cubes and salt. If you want to do the experiment you can just watch the video. You only need three things for the experiment. It only takes 1 or 2 minutes to complete the experiment.
