Graduation Assembly Practice.πŸŽ“πŸ˜€

           Graduation Assembly Practice.πŸŽ“πŸ˜€
Kia ora bloggers from around the worldπŸ‘‰πŸŒ. Today I will be blogging the graduation assembly practice. 🀯 Before that, I would like to tell you why we have a graduation assembly at our school, in the first place. The main reason being that everyone has a graduation assembly in their schools.πŸ˜€ The other reason is that we can say goodbye to our teachers and friends. It's a special assembly for the year sixes.πŸ‘ In the graduation assembly it is your choice if you would like to say a few words. The things we have to practice in the assembly are: "The Siva Samoa Dance" , Speech (for the people who will be doing a speech) and the most important part we have to practice is the Karakia. 😱 We have to practice the full Karakia and we have to know it by heart. I know half of it by heart , I am still practicing at home. We have to practice all of these things  because we have to make this assembly as special and as fun as we can!πŸ˜€ The reason why we have to make this the special assembly is that we were unable to go to camp but we couldn't and the other reason is, we are leaving.  😌 The year sixes are trying really hard to practice all these things for the assembly. So far for my speech I know what to say because the speech is my main thing I have to practice. On the day Ms Sands (my teacher) said that, pro camera people will be coming and we will be having a live stream in seesaw!🀯 We are doing a live stream in seesaw so the parents can watch, they can't come in the assembly because you know (COVID)!😐

We have been practicing the "Siva Samoa Dance". The thing I like about the dance we are doing the moves in time. The teachers said the only thing we need to work on is on our smiles. This made everyone laugh.πŸ˜‚ The best part is that I never ever forgot the moves on the Siva Samoa Dance. I know all the steps and am pretty good at it too.πŸ‘€ The other thing we have to practice is the Karakia. The Karakia is kind of hard to practice by heart. πŸ€”  The Karakia is the most important thing we have to learn and revise. I forgot to tell you this but the teachers will be giving different types of awards to the students, and also this time we are doing the graduation assembly in our own school not in Waikowhai Intermediate School. That would be sooo exciting!😌 Thank you so much teachers for all your hard work and support I really appreciate it. I had so much fun this week!πŸ˜‰

Anyways stay safe, maintain a two meter distance. Wear masks wherever you go!😷 Have a great weekend. I really can't wait for the graduation assembly. It's going to be the best assembly we have ever had. Don't forget to spend time with your families a lot.πŸ‘ͺ   Down below is the Karakia slideshow , a video of us practicing the Siva Samoa dance and also the lockdown creations.
                                                           Enjoy!πŸ‘

Salaam Ibrahim. Awesome blog reflecting on Week 8’s great activities. You really enjoyed creating an animation and your own dance. Thanks for posting the Siva Dance. You are all displaying good timing and rhythm. Keep working on those smiles! Good luck with your speech and learning the Karakia. It will be very powerful to know it by heart.

You made the most of your choices this week and were fully engaged.
All the very best with your speech and well done to have shared your positive attitude regarding your last weeks with friends at Waikowhai. Keep up your enthusiasm at Intermediate School. Kia Kaha.
